Finished Picture of “The Green Clay Men”

Turning a memory of a dream into an illustration is a fun process. Once I have the story and a rough sketch, it helps me recreate more of the details such as the colors and textures I saw in the dream.

In this image from The Green Clay Men, these otherworldly beings were made from oil clay. They wore heavily armored jackets and carried metal batons.
